A downloadable game for Windows

Ready up, spaceman! A new shift's starting on Space Station 13. Come aboard to where no parables are taught; no lessons learnt.

You are the Assistant. Assist the crew to the best of your abilities, follow corporate regulations, and try not to end up face down in some maintenance shaft somewhere.

Enjoy your stay.

A fanmade SS13 RPG inspired by that one Admiral Hippie april fools video using mostly 2021 /TG/station sprites haphazardly slapped together in Godot.

little suggestion:thunderdome. an arena with a few battles per day. some extra loot and xp for those willing to fight for it.

Thatd be cool to see

still waiting for future updates but still loving it. if i can id tip money.

it feels like a bit of a pain having to completely eliminate every enemies body part for them to die when you can get into crit from just having low enough hp. i think enemies should be able to go into crit.

i actually liked it, really fun when you get it going

This game is fun

Here's some feedback.

After both stealing the hatchet from brig and getting the signaler i managed to enter brig again and restart the trail sequence. Can be used for infinite bananium farming, which is funny. I also got the neighbor the next day, which I assume shouldn't happen.

A button to highlight all limbs during combat would be great. Just like press space bar and you can see everyone's damage zones. Constantly mousing over everyone is a pain.

But honestly this is based beyond belief and i'll be watching your progress with great interest.

Also consider making a dedicated space for bug reports or maybe a button ingame if possible, the fewer barriers the better.

Edit :

When you complete the survey at the very start of the game and the clerk reads out your stats to you Con uses : and everything else uses -

agree

Thanks for the heads up man, will fix in 0.4.2.

finished v0.4 Its great, i might have sunk 4 hours into the game now.
might redo some paths.

Should I not kill the big birthday boy rat? I've seen him as a party member in the trailer.

As a heads-up, after the end of the Engineering vs Atmosia quest, if you attempt to sleep, you will get softlocked on an "end of current content" screen where you're not able to save. Save before then if you want to finish the sidequests.
Also, right clicking on the "Victory" screen after combat is finished results in a softlock. Also, trying to complete the lawyer's quest after some time has passed has strange results, like bodies disappearing and certain encounters with the securitrons or the clown being nonexistent.

USEFUL GUIDE

This is a pretty difficult game, so I felt like listing some highly beneficial information I found here, that's all. Don't read if you don't want some spoilers. (Incomplete, there's probably a lot more to the game than this.)

  • If you pick inherited wealth as your job at the start, you start with 2000 credits, which is enough to buy a screwdriver (5-7 ATK) and work boots (+4 CON, +6 DEF to legs).
  • INTERACT.  WITH.  EVERYTHING. There's a ton of useful items just laying about everywhere, namely as figurines (can be sold to the curator for 500 credits, possibly another use?) and strange objects (can be exchanged for stats at day 2 and beyond).
  • The surgery order is scalpel, retractor, circular saw, 'pinchy thing', scalpel, cautery.
  • You can open the cryo cells to loot 450 credits from the dead scientist on day 1, HOWEVER, if you do this, you won't be able to access the medhud in a crate directly northeast of the rat tunnel that only becomes accessible after you get the medkits.
  • After you leave the rat tunnels, you can't re-enter until day 2. Also, most food items don't give progress towards unlocking the giant rat, so you usually won't be able to unlock them until day 2.
  • Sleeping doesn't recover stats, it's a lie. You also have to recover all your party members at the start of each day. (Percival appears in your closet for some reason)
  • At the start of day 2, open the locker above you and take the circuits. You can use it to empower the cyborg before you fight it, if you spare it afterwards you get to take it with you as a companion.
  • You can do the veterinarian's quest for a pocket crowbar (4-7 ATK, obtainable later). If you talk to the bartender while holding the package, they attack you (obviously).
  • If you defeat the monkeys bothering the geneticist, they give you a free laser eyes skillchip, which does 1.5x-2.0x damage with a chance to inflict a negligible amount of burn for 35 AP.
  • The lab coat you can buy in sci has 5 torso defense and 2 arm defense, but mostly it has +7 INT, which is incredibly valuable.
  • During the peacekeeper cyborg fight, I found it easiest to target the head first before going for the arms.
  •  Bruise patches are your messiah in this game, the chemist sells them for 150 credits.
  • After beating the revenant once and being teleported, you can grab a display case key from the book bag on the east side.

Might update this more, idk.

Spoilers below:
-For your fourth bullet point, you can do both. I believe you just have to loot his hud from an OR on a later day.
-Defeating the bartender doesn't affect the veterinarian's quest. You can get her as a party member if you snoop around in the detective's office, find incriminating evidence, blackmail her, and then defeat her in combat.

Fun game but I was soft-locked by sec as I tried to go past them (all my limbs were 0 but my total health was 1 so I couldn't be killed in crit) 10/10 very authentic
